PPC digitalises the heat transition

Wärme spielt eine zentrale Rolle in der Energiewende. Rund die Hälfte des gesamten Energieverbrauchs in Deutschland entfällt auf den Wärmesektor. Durch die zunehmende Elektrifizierung dieses Energieträgers entstehen sowohl unmittelbare Wechselwirkungen mit der Stromversorgung als auch auch mittelbare Synergien bei der Digitalisierung der Energiewende. Dies betrifft nicht nur dezentrale Systeme wie Gebäudewärmepumpen. Im gesamten Fernwärmenetz müssen Hausübergabestationen und deren Betriebsführung cybersicher digitalisiert werden

500 submetering devices deployed in the field

The current rollout of smart metering systems is not only creating a basis for the remote reading of measured values, but also a future-proof infrastructure for a more flexible, digitalised energy world. In submetering in particular, models from many different manufacturers need to be read and billed. PPC has developed the "CLS Adapter Submetering", now in its second generation, for this purpose.

Long-time partners formalize cooperation: PPC joins EEBus e.V.

After a long successful cooperation in many projects, PPC is now also formally a member of EEBus e.V. The symbiosis between PPC's product portfolio and EEBUS as a protocol for applications upstream and downstream of the grid connection is thus further strengthened.

Smart Meter Rollout Restarts

PPC CEO Ingo Schönberg welcomes the end of the stalemate on smart metering regulations as decided by the BNetzA. "Finally!! I am very confident that the BNetzA will now tackle solutions with the industry in a timely manner and set the course for metering via the iMSys from 2023," he said.
