BENDER charge controllers interoperable with PPC CLS solutions
We are pleased to announce that BENDER GmbH & Co. KG has successfully completed our CLS interoperability test. After previously achieving EEBUS qualification in the Living Lab, the smooth integration of BENDER charge controllers via the PPC CLS adapter control has now also been confirmed.
Recap of 2025
2025 – a year of partnerships and innovations! The rollout of smart metering systems is in full swing, and the control rollout, driven by Section 14a of the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG) and Section 9 of the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG), is gaining significant momentum. In this context, the interoperability of our solutions with those of our partners in the market is a prerequisite. 2025 is therefore all about partnership and cooperation: around 35 partners have joined our ‘PPC connect: Interoperability in practice’ initiative this year.
Flexible bandplans for the powerline rollout: the key to combining long range with high data volumes
A successful, fast and cost-efficient BPL expansion must be able to meet both challenges – bridging even greater distances in the connection as quickly as possible while still enabling data rates in the Mbit/s range for modern encryption. Nessum is the key here.
Pfalzwerke Netz AG and PPC subsidiary Coms4Grid successfully launch broadband powerline rollout
Power Plus Communications AG (PPC) and its subsidiary Coms4Grid, together with Pfalzwerke Netz AG, have successfully launched a large-scale WAN-as-a-Service project. The rollout began in early October 2025 and marks an important step towards the digitalisation of the energy infrastructure in Rhineland-Palatinate.

PPC recertifies CLS adapter submetering – CLS as an enabler for multi-use case models in the housing industry
With the new certification, PPC's CLS portfolio is evolving into a comprehensive platform for multi-use case applications in rollout. Energy suppliers, network operators and submetering service providers can rely on and access a powerful, interoperable and fully certified system. This makes application areas beyond mere data transmission even more scalable.
Robotron and PPC demonstrate interoperability between SMGWplus and GWA
Robotron Datenbank-Software GmbH, Solar Manager and PPC have successfully demonstrated a solution for the digital control of plants. This enables grid operators and other market participants to implement control commands for limiting generation and consumption. The implementation was carried out using existing systems and devices available today, which shows that this complete solution is already available to the broader market.
SMA and PPC are making hundreds of thousands of households ready for the smart grid – with just a software update
This is what practical interoperability looks like: The inverter expert SMA from Niestetal and the Mannheim-based smart meter gateway manufacturer PPC have jointly developed a groundbreaking solution that makes not only new photovoltaic systems but also existing systems throughout Germany controllable via a firmware update – and thus fit for the smart grid of the future.
