The EEBUS Ship Pairing Service Explained Simply
To make getting started easier, we’ve created a concise video that clearly explains how the EEBUS Ship Pairing Service works. The focus is on how the commissioning and pairing of devices can be significantly simplified in the future—a key component for scaling the control rollout.

Energy Metering relies on EEBUS relay converters from Weidmüller and PPC to accelerate the control rollout
The EEBUS Relay Converter (ERC) enables digital control even where only relay switching inputs are available – and is therefore ready to accelerate the control rollout with immediate effect. The product was developed jointly by PPC and Weidmüller. Energy Metering, a subsidiary of Octopus Energy, a competitive metering point operator, was also involved from the outset. The solution will simplify the implementation of Section 14a of the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG) and Section 9 of the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). Delivery will start in mid-2026.
Digital control meets relays: Weidmüller and PPC launch new solution for control rollout with EEBUS relay converter
At E-world, Weidmüller and PPC are demonstrating the EEBUS Relay Converter (ERC), a solution for control in accordance with Section 14a of the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG) and Section 9 of the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) at the interface between EEBUS digital and relay analogue. The jointly developed product translates digital EEBUS control signals into analogue relay switching commands. This means that even non-digital systems can be controlled by an SMGWplus in accordance with the requirements of Section 14a EnWG and Section 9 EEG.

Power Plus Communications AG (PPC) and its subsidiary Coms4Grid, together with Pfalzwerke Netz AG, have successfully launched a large-scale WAN-as-a-Service project.
