Das Smart Meter Gateway überträgt autorisierte Steuer- und Schaltbefehle, die über eine Steuerbox an entsprechende Anlagen weitergeleitet werden. Ziel ist ein effizientes Last- und Einspeisemanagement im Verteilnetz.
Das PPC SMGW ist dabei mit allen (FNN)-Steuerboxen kompatibel. So gelingt die herstellerunabhängige Steuerung von PV-Anlagen zur optimalen Nutzung des produzierten Solarstroms oder die effiziente Steuerung von Nachtspeicherheizungen, Batteriespeichern, Wärmepumpen oder virtuellen Kraftwerken.

CACTUS project completed: Greater transparency for the low-voltage grid
At E-world, Weidmüller and PPC are demonstrating the EEBUS Relay Converter (ERC), a solution for control in accordance with Section 14a of the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG) and Section 9 of the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) at the interface between EEBUS digital and relay analogue. The jointly developed product translates digital EEBUS control signals into analogue relay switching commands. This means that even non-digital systems can be controlled by an SMGWplus in accordance with the requirements of Section 14a EnWG and Section 9 EEG.
Energy Metering Becomes the First Metering Point Operator to Sign an SMGWplus Contract with PPC
With the SMGWplus, Energy Metering aims to further advance the digitization and scaling of its rollout. At the same time, the solution lays the groundwork for new and existing B2B partnerships. The company has set a goal of digitizing more than 1 million metering points in the coming years. The SMGWplus expands the functionality of the smart meter gateway beyond mere meter reading transmission.
