SIM logistics
LTE Smart Meter Gateways require SIM cards to connect to the respective mobile network. Thanks to active cooperation with leading German mobile network operators, we offer a soldered SIM card for our LTE SMGW in addition to the classic plug-in SIM card.
Pluggable SIM
in 2FF format for insertion into the bottom of the device.
Embedded SIM (eSIM)
in MFF2 format. This is permanently soldered into the SMGW, which prevents misuse of the SIM card. The eSIM also has a longer service life and fewer malfunctions due to environmental influences.
SIM card management for pluggable SIMs
We offer an efficient process for equipping LTE Smart Meter Gateways with plug-in SIM cards at the production facility and configuring them in accordance with the electronic delivery note. To do this, you decide on a mobile phone provider in advance of production and provide us with the SIM cards.
SIM card management for embedded SIMs
When using eSIMs, the Smart Meter Gateways are produced with neutral SIM chips. Once we receive your order, these are configured for your chosen mobile phone contract. We take care of the entire process.
