What is the role of the VDE FNN?
The Forum for Network Technology/Operation in the VDE (VDE FNN) oversees the development of Germany’s power networks. The overarching goal is to make innovative technologies practicable and provide answers to future grid technology challenges. To this end, various expert groups with different interests work together to find solutions. Members include more than 470 manufacturers, grid operators, utilities, plant operators, public authorities and scientific institutions.
