We are an innovation partner of the Future Energy Lab, a project run by the German Energy Agency (dena), and actively contribute our technological expertise to one of the energy industry’s key projects for the future: the digital energy transition. Together with key players from the energy and digital sectors, we are working to develop innovative solutions, identify new technologies at an early stage and provide sustainable impetus for politics, business and society.
Role as innovation partner
As a partner, we provide targeted support for idea development and technology scouting along the entire energy industry value chain. In doing so, we not only contribute technical expertise, but also participate in strategic issues relating to regulation, market development and future digital infrastructures. The aim is to put innovations into practice more quickly and to accelerate the digital transformation of the energy system in a sustainable manner.
SMGW as a key technology for the energy transition
As a leading manufacturer of smart meter gateways (SMGW) and communication technologies, we are continuously working to further develop the SMGW as a central digital infrastructure component. Secure and highly available data communication forms the basis for new applications – from intelligent grid control and sector coupling to innovative use cases for grid operators, municipal utilities and prosumers.
Especially in combination with renewable energies, controllable consumption devices and Section 14a applications, we see the SMGW as a key driver of innovation for a flexible, efficient and resilient energy system. The partnership offers an ideal environment for integrating technological developments with strategic and regulatory perspectives.
Advancing innovation together
Cooperation stands for a partnership-based approach: bringing industry, politics and science together around one table to develop practical solutions to the challenges of the energy transition. The open exchange within the dena network generates new ideas that have an impact far beyond individual projects.
Outlook
Our goal is clear: we want to shape innovation together, strengthen the digitalisation of the energy industry and make a measurable contribution to a sustainable energy system. As an innovation partner of the Future Energy Lab, we see ourselves not only as a technology provider, but also as an active contributor to the digital energy transition – today and in the future.
