"Broadband Powerline" Training Course
Broadband Powerline transforms the electrical grid into a high-performance communications infrastructure for smart metering and digital applications in the distribution network. In our training course, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of BPL technology as well as the planning, installation, and operation of a broadband powerline network.
Our experts will teach you the basics of data transmission over the power grid and show you how BPL components are used in low-voltage networks. You’ll also learn about the latest BPL Generation 6 (Nessum). Through hands-on training, you’ll learn how BPL networks are set up, monitored, evaluated, and optimized for a reliable rollout.
The BPL training course is designed for project managers and technical staff at energy utilities and grid operators, particularly those working in the areas of grid operations, metering and measurement technology, communications technology, and IT. No prior knowledge is required to participate. All necessary fundamentals are covered in the training.
Our Training Content
In this training course, you will gain a comprehensive overview of the structure and operation of a broadband powerline network. You will learn about the various BPL components and their functions—from the headend to repeaters and BPL smart meter gateways, as well as the necessary connection and installation materials.
Our experts will show you how to install and commission BPL networks in the low-voltage grid and monitor them using the PPC Network Management System. Through practical examples, you’ll also learn how to evaluate connection quality, identify potential faults, and optimize BPL networks for different requirements.
