2025 Year in Review

2025 Year in Review: Theme

2025—a year of partnerships and innovation! The rollout of smart metering systems is in full swing, and the control system rollout—driven by Section 14a of the Energy Industry Act (EnWG) and Section 9 of the Renewable Energy Act (EEG)—is gaining significant momentum. In this context, the interoperability of our solutions with those of our partners in the market is a prerequisite. 2025 is therefore all about collaborative partnerships: Around 35 partners have joined our “PPC connect: Interoperability in Action” initiative this year.

PPC Customer Meeting 2025 – The agenda is set, and registration is open!

On 20. & On May 21, 2025, it’s that time again: At this year’s PPC Customer Meeting, we’d like to talk with you about the latest developments in our industry, take a look at what’s new at PPC in the coming years, and enjoy two days at the Mannheimer Manufaktur. Here’s a highlight to look forward to: We’ve once again brought together numerous partners who will join us in exploring these exciting trends.

Control systems are finally becoming smart and digital: PPC has certified its CLS Adapter control system as the first interoperable digital control system in accordance with TR-5 and BSZ

When the control of “
” consumers became mandatory under Section 14a of the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG) as of January 1, 2024, it was clear that grid operators and metering point operators would need an open, interoperable platform to tackle the digital control rollout in a cost-effective and efficient manner. With the successful certification of our CLS Adapter Control system in accordance with BSZ and TR-03109-5 by the BSI, these prerequisites have now been met. This provides legal and planning certainty. Nothing now stands in the way of the large-scale digital control rollout.

2024 Year in Review

The year 2023 marks a new milestone for Power Plus Communications AG and our mission to drive the energy transition through advanced technologies. With numerous advances in our rollout, successful collaboration with partners, and new products, we once again made a significant contribution to the digitalization of the energy transition last year. We would like to thank our customers and partners for their excellent and successful collaboration and for the trust they have placed in us—we wish you all the best and continued success in 2024!

Double Victory: PPC Is the First to Certify a CLS Product According to BSZ and TR-5

By completing these certifications, PPC is establishing legal and planning certainty in the CLS environment. The requirements for certifying CLS gateways were formalized by the BSI in December 2023, thereby establishing standards for interoperability and cybersecurity for all market participants. As a component of critical infrastructure, this dual certification not only strengthens confidence in security for end customers and network operators but also drives standardization at the interface between the network and the end customer.
