The “BPL Smart Metering Pilot” is the first step towards the independent set-up of a BPL-based Smart Metering solution by an energy supplier. It also enables BPL to be extended to other applications like demand response or the control and supervision of decentralised energy generation facilities.
PPC provides following services:
- Planning of the BPL Smart Metering Pilot installation.
- Planning of the BPL network and support for the backbone.
- Delivery of agreed numbers of electronic meters.
- Delivery of all necessary BPL-devices (Head-End, repeater, meter gateway) and the necessary connection material.
- The required energy data server for the storage of the meter data for a period of three months.
- The required network management software for a period of three months.
- Instructing the customer about the installation of the BPL network.
After written order the ready-to-operate BPL network can usually be delivered to the customer within four weeks.
